Today at the Ohio Long Course Age Group Championships, the 13-14 boys 200 medley relay from the Cincinnati Marlins swam a 1:50.60 to destroy the old record of 1:51.48 which was set in 2014 by Washington Township Swim Club from Indiana. A look at the comparative splits:
Old Record
| Jackson Miller | 29.43 |
| Andrew Couchon | 31.00 |
| Drew Kibler | 26.17 |
| Parker Herschberger | 24.88 |
1:51.48
New Record
| Carson Foster | 28.23 |
| Jake Foster | 29.85 |
| Matthew Sims | 26.76 |
| Kevin Thibodeaux | 25.76 |
1:50.60
The Marlins’ had some serious speed on the front half, courtesy of the Foster brothers. Jake Foster, in particular, ripped a 29.85 breast leg which is a scary good split for a 14 year old swimmer. Jake was also a member of two of the Marlins’ other NAG record-holding relays, the 13-14 400 medley relay in both SCY and LCM. The Marlins hold the 800 free relay NAG in the 13-14 age group, as well.
