The Texas A&M women traveled to Houston on Thursday and swam to a 166-133 win. Leading the way for the Aggies was Ava Whitaker who won all four of her events, including three individual and one relay.
The Indiana transfer earned her first individual win in the 200 fly posting a 1:55.01, a new lifetime best as her previous best was a 1:55.17 that she swam for 2nd at the 2025 Big Ten Championships. She was 36th in the event at the 2025 NCAA Championships in a 1:56.50. Whitaker also won the 100 fly in a 52.55, just off her lifetime best 52.10 that she swam at 2025 NCAAs, and the 100 IM in a 55.47.
Whitaker teamed up alongside Kaitlyn Owens, Ella McQuinn, and Eloise Williamson to win the women’s 400 medley relay. Splits are not showing up properly on meet mobile at the time of publishing but the team’s final time was a 3:36.70.
Owens went on to two individual wins of her own, touching first in the 100 back in a 53.29 as well as in a 23.09 in the 50 free. Both were just off her 53.27 in the 100 back and 22.48 50 free that she swam just last week against SMU. Owens also helped the team to a win in the 200 free relay as Owens, McQuinn, Williamson, and Reagan Sherrard won in a 1:31.74.
