US Para Swimming to Host 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships at Mt. San Antonio College in August

US Para Swimming has announced that it will host the 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California, on August 28-30.

These championships mirror the structure of the Pan Pacific Championships that will take place in Irvine, California, just 29 miles south of Walnut, on August 12-15.

“Hosting these championships creates meaningful opportunities for our students, staff and community to engage with and welcome exceptional athletes to our campus, while allowing us to proudly support their journey toward the LA28 Paralympic Games and showcase the heart of the Mt. SAC community on an international stage,” said Mt. SAC President Dr. Martha Garcia in a press release from Mt. San Antonio College.

This marks the second time the event has been hosted stateside; in 2014, the Para Pan Pacs were held in Pasadena, California, where 166 records fell over the five-day contest.

“Hosting the Para Pan Pacs on U.S. soil again for the first time in more than a decade underscores our commitment to providing world-class competitive opportunities for Para swimmers and strengthening international collaboration within the sport.” siad US Paralympic Swimming Director Amanda Duke Boulet in a press release from US Para Swimming “This event also plays a critical role in athlete development during a non-Paralympic, non-world championship year.”

These championships fall just over a week after the John H. Ogden Northeast Pasa Open in Beverly, Massachusetts, which is part of the Para Open Series.

The aquatics venue, which opened in 2022 features a 59-meter all-deep competition pool and 30-meter diving pool with a seating capacity to fit upto 2,500 spectators normally, with the ability to increase it to 5,000 during certain events.
