It was a championship weekend fit for a king at the FGC Age Group Champs, hosted by Azura Florida Aquatics at the beautiful Coral Springs Aquatic Center. The deck was stacked with top-tier talent, featuring Florida Gold Coast’s top 14 & under swimmers.
While the young athletes took top billing, the meet also touted a touch of swimming royalty, with Olympic Gold Medalist Lilly King appearing at a Friday night meet-and-greet. The deck felt a little more regal as the breaststroke ace held court with swimmers and families, signing autographs, posing for pictures and offering words of encouragement.
FGC is flush with talent in every age group, with numerous swimmers crowned champions in more than one event during the 4-day prelims and finals competition.

I find it so exciting to read about all these young to older swimmers making their mark in swimming events! Their committment is amazing as wll as their determination to do what is necessary to make themselves proud of their efforts. Good luck to all of them, and many thanks to Ms Elzabetth Spencer Rosenthal for her delightful and insightful and humorous reporting!
