LA28 Olympics Chairman Casey Wasserman has come under fire after his name appeared in the recently released batch of files related to financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The latest batch of files, which have been ordered released by Congress, included flirtatious emails between Wasserman and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, as early as 2003. Maxwell is the only Epstein associate to have been criminally charged or convicted in the case and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. She was Epstein’s girlfriend.

Wasserman, who was married at the time, apologized for those communications, and denied any personal relationship with Epstein.

“I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein,” Wasserman said this week. “I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”

The emails were sent before Epstein was first convicted on charges of procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting in prostitution in 2008.

IOC President and Olympic medal winning swimmer Kirsty Coventry declined to comment on the situation, and a spokesperson declined to elaborate on his statement.

“Casey made a statement that reflects the perspective he has on what came to light when the emails were released,” USOPC Chairman of the Board Gene Sykes told a press conference.

“That is out there. We have nothing to add to that. His statement stands on its own.”

“I have more confidence today in LA28’s operational capabilities, its leadership, the quality of what it’s doing and how well they have executed than I have at any point in time since I began working with LA28 at its inception in 2015,” Sykes added.

“They have done exceptionally well commercially. A tremendous superlative success story there. My confidence in LA is very high.”

Coventry would later add that the LA28 leadership structure was not under the control of the IOC.

Local Los Angeles politicians have called for Wasserman to resign as the head of the LA28 Committee. That includes LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn, State Senator Lena Gonzalez, and a trio of city council members.

Wasserman has not been charged in any of the prostitution activities at the core of the Epstein investigation. Epstein, in his role as financier, was connected to a number of powerful people, and the challenge for investigations has been peeling apart which relationships were related to his role as a financier and which relationships spilled over into his illicit activities.

At least two U.S. Presidents have been named in the finals: current president Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton.

A number of individuals were mentioned in the millions of released files incidentally, like a famed NFL quarterback who was working with a broker to purchase a private plane but who says had no direct contact with Epstein, and that he was approached by the broker.

Beyond his role with LA28, Wasserman is the founder and CEO of Wasserman, a sports marketing and talent agency. A number of high profile Olympic and Paralympic swimmers are current Wasserman clients.

1) Yes should resign. If you are sexually attracted to evil human beings; your core values are anti-Olympics.

2) The Pedo Protectors are still winning. Why would the LA28 leader resign when the president is still protected by hundreds of thousands (millions?) of traitorous Americans?

Assuming you mean Republicans by ‘Pedo Protectors’, then why didn’t Democrats release all of the Epstein files in the 4 years they had complete control of them? They suddenly seem silent now, too…

I’m no Trump fan personally because I despise narcissists in general – but for those actually interested in looking beyond their emotional veil, there are a LOT more Democrats and major Democrat donors much more closely connected to Epstein. Including Reid Hoffman, one of the biggest multi-billionaire Democrat contributors and funders of the chaos across this country.

Political parties weren’t mentioned on purpose. Pedo Protectors are the ones who are trying to downplay this and hide information from the public in protection of child rapists.

Your first question has been repeatedly and regularly answered, and is available by a very quick Google search.

The files were never “in the complete control” of democratic politicians. They were sealed under a judicial order and not in the control of political leaders. This did not change until December 2025.

“seem silent until now” – Because the public (including politicians) had no access to this information, we did not know how heinous the crimes were. So yes more people are speaking up now because it’s very clear that… Read more »

He needs to resign. Now.

The really tragic thing is that they released this now.
These men are garbage. Of course they are. But at this point, nobody is surprised they’re all in there and nothing meaningful will be done about them. Nobody will punish them.
The victims are devastated and the zone is successfully flooded.
Why? What has he said recently that needs to be buried by this? The fact he wants to control elections?

These people have absolutely no shame. Vote of no confidence should be organized immediately.

Absolutely love the nonsensical word salad from Gene Sykes. How long did he work on coming up with that?
