Duke class of 2030 commit commit and West Hartford Aquatic Team’s (WHAT) Riley Anderson was a standout at the 2025 CRA Winter Invitational last December, clocking best times in five different events and winning five titles in Wellesley.

Anderson, SwimSwam’s No. 17-ranked girls’ recruit in the high school class of 2026, most notably went a time of 22.07 to win the 50 free. On the cusp of breaking the 22-second barrier, she dropped 0.13 seconds from her previous best of 22.20 set in November of 2025. That mark now ranks fourth overall amongst age groupers girls during the 2025-26 season.

An even bigger drop came in Anderson’s 100 free, as she broke 49 seconds for the first time to go 48.82 and improve upon her previous best of 49.12. That time is ranked eighth overall for age groupers this season. Additionally, she won the 200 fly (2:00.85), 50 fly (23.91), 100 fly (53.34) and placed second in the 200 free (1:48.56), setting PBs in every event besides the 100 fly.

The swimmer who beat Anderson in the 200 free was Charles River Aquatics’ Sofia Oliviera, who was about half a second faster with a 1:47.96. Oliviera, the girls’ high point winner amongst those aged 15+, will be headed to Duke a season after Anderson arrives.

Oliviera also won the 200 back after setting a personal best of 1:58.56 in prelims, while notching second-place finishes in the 50 free, 100 free, 1000 free and 200 IM — showing off her versatility across several distances and strokes. She also swam the 50 breast on CRA’s 200 medley relay.

WHAT’s Savannah Bowers, a class of 2031 Ohio State commit, had the second-highest points total for the 15+ age group. Bowers won the 200 breast in a time of 2:18.16, dropping over five seconds from her previous best of 2:23.30. She also won the 100 breast in a time of 1:03.40, swept the 200 (2:02.09) and 400 IM (4:27.82), while placing third in the 50, 100 and 200 free.

Empire Swimming’s Zoey Wiese swept the distance events, emerging victorious in both the 500 (4:55.91) and 1000 (10:11.64) free events. The class of 2030 Fairfield commit went best times in both races.

On the boys’ side, Wyatt Vitiello scored the most points amongst swimmers aged 15 and over. A class of 2030 Texas A&M commit, he was the winner of the 200 back (1:45.43) by exactly five seconds, improving 3.81 seconds from his previous top mark. He also won the 200 (1:49.96) ad 400 IM (3:57.47) events, as well as the 100 back (49.53). while placing second in the 200 free (1:38.53).

Defeating Vitiello in the 200 free was CRA’s Alex Barone, a SwimSwam class of 2027 “best of the rest” recruit. The Texas A&M commit went a best time of 1:37.68 in the event, while also clocking a winning time of 4:26.05 in the 500 free — both personal bests by a significant margin.

Barone also finished second second in the 1000 free with a 9:18.45. Beating him was his club teammate Maxx Vazirani, who improved nearly 15 seconds from his previous best mark to go 9:14.83. Vazirani also scored a second-place finish in the 500 free and finished third in the 500 free.

One of the most impressive swims on the boys’ side came from 14-year-old Ethan Han, who raced in the 13-14 age gr0up. He went a time of 56.25 to win the 100 breast, a mark that would have won the 15+ final. Additionally, he took home victories in the 50 breast (26.08), 200 breast (2:07.36), 200 IM (1:52.91) and 400 IM (4:07.33) for his age group.
