Our post invite Power Rankings for the 2025-2026 were released yesterday morning on the women’s side. Virginia led the way and is searching for its 6th straight title. We’ve decided to let the public have a little say in what they think will happen.
In our new series called “over/unders” we will use the comment section to allow the public to have a voice. If you think the team will do better than or equal to our pick you will use the + (upvote), if you think the team will do worse than our pick, you will use the – (downvote).
- Example: If you think the Indiana women will finish 5th or higher, hit the + to upvote, if you think they will finish 8th or lower hit the – to downvote.
Over/under is a typical wager used in sports-books. With this, no money will be involved. Simply put, we do the rankings, you have fun and upvote or downvote what we picked, have some friendly debate in the comments.

@SwimSwam could be interesting to see the breakdown of points scored by international swimmers at ncaas — i think itll be the highest in a while on the womens side.
just eyeballing it every single top 10 team will have an international swimmer who can score double digit points (20/30+) other than stanford
actually going further down the list every program up to lsu has an elite international swimmer (could even include lsu in that definition if you group their 2 butterflyers together who could score 20+ collectively).
In regard to the University of Virginia, it’s conceivable that Aimee Canny (200 FR, 200 BR, 200 IM) and Sara Curtis (100 BK, 50 FR, 100 FR) each qualify in the Championship Final of three events at the 2026 NCAA DI Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships. Then again, the two aforementioned female swimmers may need to since Katie Grimes can’t even sniff a personal best time (200 FR, 500 FR, 1650 FR, 200 BK, 200 FL, 400 IM) during the 2025-2026 NCAA Season.

Nebraska and Rutgers getting honorable mention over Washington State is ludicrous
I think Washington State has a pathway to the top 25. But I think Nebraska and Rutgers’ pathway is stronger. I think Washington State and Nebraska have a stronger pathway.
Remember that to be HM, someone has to have picked you top 25. It’s not just “the teams we think are the 7 next best teams). It’s teams that received votes, but not enough votes to be top 25. The difference between 25 and 30th is very, very small, so at that level, you’re picking on a hunch and the clearest pathway.
