BABSON PARK, Mass. (Nov. 7, 2025) – The Stonehill swimming team won 12 of 14 events to claim a 184-78 victory at Babson Friday afternoon.
Isabella Rodriguez took home wins in the 1000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. Rodriguez posted the fastest time in the 1000 in 11:07.21, while her mark of 5:27.56 give her the victory in the 500 freestyle.
The 4×100 medley relay of Emma Kawai, Lily Peterson, Emma Richards and Grace Idowu opened the meet with a victory with a mark of 4:01.40. All four of those Stonehill swimmers also captured wins in other events.
Kawai hit the wall in 1:01.52 for the fastest time in the 100 backstroke, and she also won the 200 IM in 2:14.29.
Peterson swept the 100 breaststroke (1:08.34) and 50 breaststroke (31.90), while Idowu took home the quickest mark in the 50 freestyle (24.99).
Richard touched the wall first in the 50 butterfly in 27.11, and Kristy Barry was victorious in the 100 freestyle (53.96) and 200 freestyle (1:58.91).

Stonehill (2-3) will next compete at the Harold Anderson Invitational at Rhode Island from Nov. 20-23.

BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College women’s swimming and diving team won two events and finished second in four others but suffered a 184-78 loss to Stonehill College in the home opener Friday evening inside Morse Pool.
With the loss, the Beavers drop to 5-2 in dual meets while the Skyhawks improve to 2-3 on the season.
Sophomore Tuana Turhan (Lake Forest, Ill.) had the top performances for the Beavers with a first-place finish and a pair of third-place showings. She touched the wall first in the 100-butterfly in 59.57 seconds and finished third in the 100-breaststroke in 1:11.59 and the 200-individual medley in 2:15.59.
First-year Middy Hinckley (Trent Woods, N.C.) produced some strong events for the Green and White, finishing in second place in both the 200-freestyle in a time of 2:02.16 and the 500-free in 5:31.52. Junior Sylvie Racicot (Arlington, Mass.) came in second in the 50 free in 25.23 seconds and third in the 100 free in 56.26, and sophomore Julia Netishen (Exeter, N.H.) took second in the 50 fly in a time of 27.29 seconds before placing fourth in the 100 free in 56.20.
Sophomore Samantha Gilbert (Arlington, Va.) turned in a pair of third-place finishes for Babson, clocking in with times of 25.66 in the 50 free and 32.80 in the 50 breast. First-year Leila Evans (Sandwich, Mass.) brought home third place in the 1000 free in a time of 11:40.35.
The Beavers had strong results in the two relay events. Babson’s contingent of Netishen, Gilbert, Turhan and Racicot finished second in the 400-medley relay in a time of 4:03.65 to open the meet, and the foursome of Racicot, senior Sophia Sznewajs (Edina, Minn.), Gilbert and Netishen captured the 200 free relay in 1:40.51 to wind up the meet.
The Beavers will be back in the pool against Bentley on November 15 at 6 p.m. inside Morse Pool.
