ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis swimming and diving posted four victories Saturday in a tri-meet vs. Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist at Simon Recreation Center.
The Billiken women defeated Southwest Baptist 174-42 and Rockhurst 158-62. The Billiken men downed Southwest Baptist 159-52 and Rockhurst 114.50-104.50.
Tierney Kohl paced the women’s team with two individual wins, touching first in the 400 IM (4:35.92) and 200 breast (2:21.17). Meghan Eng recorded a win in the 200 back (2:05.35) and a second-place finish in the 200 free (1:57.08) and swam the leadoff leg on SLU’s winning 200 medley relay team (1:46.92) that also included Kenna Cashman, Sarah Dingus and Anya Brueggeman. Brueggeman (52.84) and Cashman (54.16) placed first and second, respectively, in the 100 free.
Also capturing victories were Olivia Fox in 1-meter diving (252.68); Karis Reynaga in the 1000 free (10:45.86); Sasha Jancekova in the 200 free (1:56.61); Hanna Whitney in the 50 free (25:15); Mia Wilson in the 200 fly (2:13.03); and the 200 free relay squad of Izabel Schmidt, Whitney, Dingus and Brueggeman (1:38.55).
Runner-up performances were turned in by Bayley Thompson in 1-meter diving (227.25); Morgan Walker in the 400 IM (4:45.37); Emmy Barrett in the 200 back (2:06.67); and Faith McAdam in the 500 free (5:16.02).
The Billiken men received wins from Ben Mears in 1-meter diving (280.73); Kyle Algrim in the 400 IM (4:08.91); Zach Byars in the 200 back (1:53.85); Ben Militti in the 500 free (4:47.15); the 200 medley relay quartet of Evan Crim, Tino Ferranti, Logan Townsend and Ethan Hudock (1:34.06); and the 200 free relay team of Townsend, Tyler Williams, Jake Lundquist and Algrim (1:25.20).
Ferranti finished second in the 50 free (21.86) and Townsend was runner-up in the 100 free (47:05). Also claiming second were Samuel Martin in the 1000 free (10:25.94), Daniel Jekov in the 200 back (1:56.12) and Hayden Barnes in the 500 free (4:55.32).
The Billikens compete next in the House of Champions Meet in Indianapolis Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 20-22.

The Rockhurst women’s swimming and diving team dropped a dual meet at Missouri-St. Louis, 140-65 Friday in St. Louis. Rockhurst recorded two first-place finishes, four seconds and six thirds.
Highlights:
- Halle McCullough won the 100 breaststroke (1:05.63) and the 200 individual medley (2:11.63).
- Tauren Walz came in second in the 200 freestyle (2:00.72) and the 100 butterfly (1:00.89).
- Paige Sheridan placed second in the 1,000 freestyle (10:50.43) and third in the 500 freestyle (5:19.48).
- Avery Walz finished third in the 200 individual medley (2:17.75).
- Liza Engelbrecht came in third in the 100 butterfly (1:01.07).
- Reese Moore took third in the 100 freestyle (55.75).
- Anna Vicent Serrano placed third in the 1,000 freestyle (10:54.17).

The Rockhurst men’s swimming and diving team defeated Missouri-St. Louis, 105-100, in a dual meet Friday in St. Louis. The Hawks recorded six first-place finishes, six seconds and four thirds.
Highlights:
- Mohannad Nada won the 100 breaststroke (57.80) and the 200 individual medley (1:56.79).
- Omar Abla collected wins in the 100 freestyle (47.44) and the 200 freestyle (1:43.93).
- Dakota Windsor and Ben Chumley came second and third in the 100 backstroke.
- Omar Abla placed second in the 100 freestyle (1:56.13).
- Omar Mohsen and Jack Powell came in second and third in the 500 freestyle (52.91).
- Powell and Jacob Clink took second and third in the 1,000 freestyle.
- Tiago Deluca came in second in the 100 butterfly (51.92)
- Ian Klapper placed second in the 100 breaststroke (58.13).
- Palmer Keith took third in the 200 individual medley (1:58.59).

Saint Louis, Mo. — The Southwest Baptist University women’s swim team traveled to Saint Louis to compete against Rockhurst University and Saint Louis University this afternoon. Six of SBU’s swimmers dropped time in their events.
Kamryn Cooper had the biggest drop in her entry time when she swam a 2:01.43 in the 200-Yard freestyle. That was a drop of 3.57 seconds from her entry time of 2:05. In that same event, Abigail Peugh dropped .7 seconds finishing in 13th. Adilyn Henderson, Grace Simon, Sofia Gonzalez, and Gwyneth Bennett each dropped from their entry times.
Now the Bearcats head into a gauntlet of weeks as they compete four more times before Christmas break. This will begin next week as they swim in the Drury Invite down in Springfield, Missouri. This will span over two days on Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th.

St. Louis, Mo. – Bearcat men’s swimming returned to action Saturday afternoon as they took on Division I, St. Louis University and fellow GLVC member Rockhurst University.
After a strong meet weeks ago, sophomore Ian McCorkle put his name in SBU history winning his first ever event. This came in the 200-Yard freestyle race where he swam for a time of 1:43.58. In this race, he defeated four Division I swimmers and two from Rockhurst. A little later he also had a strong race in the 200-yard fly with a 3rd place finish.
Now the Bearcats head into a gauntlet of weeks as they compete four more times before Christmas break. This will begin next week as they swim in the Drury Invite down in Springfield, Missouri. This will span over two days on Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th.
