French Open To Feature Eight Olympic and Ten World Champions

The 8th French Open, which will run on July 4th and 5th in Vichy, will host an amazing collection of the best swimmers in the world which included eight Olympic gold medalists and 10 World Champions.

Brazilian superstar Cesar Cielo told the French media that, “Early in the season , when I think about my program, I check the Open de France first. For me, outside of the Games and the World Championships , there is not better.”

Among those who have decided to join Cielo include

Inge Dekker, Fabien Gilot, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Florent Manaudou, Camille Muffat, Jeremy Stravius, Cameron van der Burg, Ilaria Bianchi, Lauren Boyle, Laszlo Cseh, Katinka Hosszu, Camille Lacourt, James Magnussen, Giacomo Perez Ortona, Fabio Scozzoli, Albert Subirats, Daryna Zevina and Ryan Cochrane.

When the best male sprinters in the world converge in one place people’s eyes shift to the 50 and 100 freestyle. It will be no different in Vichy where the number one ranked swimmer in the 50 freestyle, Cielo and the top ranked swimmer in the 100 freestyle, Magnussen will face one another.

Little geographical correction.
The pool is not in Vichy but in Bellerive-sur-Allier, in the urban area of Vichy.

If you want tickets it’s here! 🙂

In an interview made at the Mesa Grand Prix she said she may swim at the French Open too.

The French Open will also be this season’s taper meet for Arkady Vyatchanin. He’ll set the targets for everyone else to chase this summer.
