Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Aria Grossenbach from Lincolnshire, Illinois has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Louisville beginning in fall 2027. She is a “best of the rest” ranked recruit in the girls high school class of 2027.
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Louisville! I want to thank all of my coaches especially Coach AJ, Coach Kasemets, and Coach Kevin for believing in me and pushing me to be my best. And to my teammates, thank you for being the best training partners and friends I could ask for. Thank you to Coach Arthur, Coach Stephanie, Coach Reed, other coaches, and my future teammates for making me feel so at home throughout this process! Finally, a special thank you to my family for the endless support these last 16 years. I can’t wait to be a part of the Cardinal family, GO CARDS!!”
Grossenbach swims for Patriot Aquatic Club and finished her long course season at Summer Juniors. There she was highlighted by a 4th place finish in the 100 free touching in a 55.77. That matched her lifetime best that she swam back in July 2024 at the Summer Championships. She also swam in prelims of the 50 free at Summer Juniors, posting a 26.57 for 44th and she time trialed the 200 free touching in a 2:06.58.
She began her junior year this fall at Adlai E Stevenson High School and swam to numerous ‘A’ final appearances last November at the Illinois High School State Championship. She was 3rd in the 50 free in a 23.10 and 6th in the 100 free in a 50.14.
Grossenbach’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 50 free: 22.92
- 100 free: 49.74
- 200 free: 1:50.91
The Louisville women were 3rd at the 2025 ACC Championships and went on to finish 7th at the 2025 NCAA Championships. The team graduated its top scorer Gabi Albiero as she scored 30 individual points at 2025 NCAAs.
Based on her best times, Grossenbach is not far off what it took to score at ACCs already as it took a 22.41 50 free and a 48.69 in the 100 free. She still has two years until her arrival.
Louisville welcomed the top sprinter this fall as Julie Mishler headlined the #13 ranked recruiting class. The program has had great success in the past developing sprinters alongside Albiero such as Christiana Regenauer, Julia Dennis, and Ella Welch.
Grossenbach joins Maddy Brennan in the class of 2031. Brennan is from New Jersey and primarily specializes in distance free.
