Texas suited up for its own invite on Friday night to kick off their season. There were no other teams in attendance as Texas split its team in two for an Orange vs White matchup.

Women’s Recap

Campbell Stoll swam to three wins on the day. She won the 200 fly in a 1:53.35, a time that was not far off of her 1:52.29 that she swam at the 2025 NCAA Championships for a 7th place finish. She also won the 200 IM in a 1:56.44, another event she raced at 2025 NCAAs. Her final win came in the 100 fly as she touched in a 51.38, marking a personal best as her previous best was a 51.44 from last November’s dual meet against Indiana.

2025 NCAA Champion Jillian Cox earned two wins on the day, touching first in the 1000 free in a 9:24.82. Her lifetime best is a 9:24.39 that she swam on her first 1000 of the 1650 free at 2025 SECs. Cox also won the 500 free in a 4:38.28 to finish a second and a half ahead of Lillie Nesty who touched in a 4:39.96.

That was not Nesty’s only 2nd place finish of the day as she was out touched in the 100 backstroke by 0.01. Nesty touched in a 52.27, just behind Berit Berglund who swam a 52.26. Nesty’s 100 back time marked a personal best as her previous best was a 52.60 from high school.

Nikolett Padar made waves in her Texas debut as the Hungarian native earned two wins. She touched first in the 200 free in a 1:44.03 as well as in a 48.41 in the 100 free. It took a 1:44.74 in the 200 free to earn an invite to 2025 NCAAs.

The relay team of Emma Kern, Piper Enge, Eva Okaro, and Erin Gemmell swam to a 1:36.90 in the 200 medley relay. Texas swam a 1:34.00 for 6th in the relay at 2025 NCAAs but Enge is the only returning member from that relay. Enge earned the individual win in the 100 breast with a 59.82 while Okaro won the 50 free in a 21.86.

Other event winners include Sarah Rodrigues who won the 200 back in a 1:54.99 and Avery Collins who won the 200 breast in a 2:12.85.

Men’s Recap

Hubert Kos and Will Modglin battled it out in the backstroke races at the meet. Modglin led off the winning 200 medley team that also included Campbell McKean, Kyle Peck, and Rafael Fente-Damers to a win as the team touched in a 1:23.98. Kos was slightly faster on the lead off led with a 20.75 compared to Modglin’s 20.96.

Modglin earned the touched in the 100 backstroke though, posting a 44.83 to finish ahead of Kos who swam a 44.96. The two were on the team’s 400 medley relay at 2025 NCAAs as Modglin led off in a 44.37 while Kos swam the fly leg with a 43.35. Kos, the NCAA record holder, won the 200 backstroke today in a 1:40.48 to touch ahead of Texas A&M transfer Baylor Nelson who touched in a 1:42.91. Kos also won the 200 IM in a 1:43.71

American Record holder Rex Maurer earned two wins on the day as he won the 200 free in a 1:33.24 while Nelson was 2nd again in a 1:34.03. Maurer also swam to a 4:12.11 in the 500 free, touching ahead of David Johnston who swam to a 4:14.78. Johnston won the 1000 free in a 8:47.75.

Freshman Rafael Fente-Damers won the sprint freestyle events first winning the 50 free in a 19.39 before following that up with a 42.47 in the 100 free. Fente-Damers represents France at the international level and has not competed in short course yards since 2017.

Will Scholtz in the win in the 200 breast in a 1:54.02, touching just ahead of freshman Campbell McKean was not far off his lifetime best in the 200 breast as he swam to a 1:54.92. His lifetime best is a 1:53.54 from last December at Winter Juniors West. Nate Germonprez won the 100 breast in a 51.54.

Other winners on the day include Cooper Lucas who swam to a 1:42.39 in the 200 fly, only a second and a half off his best (1:40.86) from 2025 NCAAs. Logan Walker won the 100 fly in a 46.98.
