20.6/44.9 Sprint Freestyler Hayden Hall Sends Commitment To Cincinnati For 2026

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Hayden Hall has committed to swim at the University of Cincinnati for his collegiate career, beginning in the fall of 2026. He hails from Knoxville, Tennessee, where he swims for Tennessee Aquatics and competes for Hardin Valley Academy.

He publicized the announcement on social media, writing:

I am so excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Cincinnati! Thank you to my parents, coaches, and teammates for their support. Go Bearcats!!

Hall specializes in the 50-200 freestyles, in addition to the butterfly and IM events. He’s on a strong improvement trajectory, as he’s clocked lifetime bests in all of his main events every season of his career.

His first target meet of the 2024-25 season was the Winter Junior Championships – East in early December. His top finish came in the 200 free, where he logged 1:38.37 for 22nd, while also placing 75th in the 100 free (46.01) and 96th in the 200 IM (1:52.20).

Hall’s focus meet for the high school season was the Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA) State Championships in early February. He walked away with gold in the 200 free, recording a pair of best times throughout the meet — 1:37.68 in prelims before lowering his mark to 1:37.45 in the final. In the 100 free, he clocked a career-best 45.34 in prelims before hitting 44.94 in finals to secure fourth. He was pivotal on relays as well, splitting 20.41 and 44.82 on the 200 and 400 free relays, with the former settling for eighth and the latter taking sixth.

The future Bearcat emphasized freestyle for most of last season, but does own best times of 49.86 in the 100 fly and 1:51.28 in the 200 fly. The 100 fly was set in February 2024 at the TISCA State meet, while the 200 fly was notched this past December at the NAC Music City Invite.

In the IMs, Hall has been as quick as 1:51.49, set last July at the GKAISA City Championship, and 4:02.25 in the 400 IM in March 2024 at the Southern Premier meet.

Top SCY Times:

  • 50 Freestyle: 20.67
  • 100 Freestyle: 44.94
  • 200 Freestyle: 1:37.45
  • 100 Butterfly: 49.86
  • 200 Butterfly: 1:51.26
  • 200 IM: 1:51.49
  • 400 IM: 4:02.25

Cincinnati is led by head coach Mandy Commons-DiSalle, who is entering her 13th season at the helm of the program. The men placed sixth out of seven teams at the 2025 Big 12 Conference Championships.

It took times of 20.08 (50 free), 44.06 (100 free), 1:36.97 (200 free), 48.30 (100 fly), 1:48.35 (200 fly), 1:48.08 (200 IM), and 4:00.10 (400 IM) to score in Hall’s primary events. Based on those numbers, his best scoring opportunities appear to be the three freestyle events, in addition to the 400 IM.

On the team’s 2024-25 depth chart, he would have sat third in the 200 free, fourth in the 50 and 100 free, sixth in the 400 IM, seventh in the 200 fly, and eighth in the 100 fly and 200 IM.

Hall will head to Cincinnati’s campus alongside fellow recruits Brady Julian, Owen Durham, and Parker Macho.
