Austin Swim Club’s Victor Teeters has verbally committed to join the Oakland Golden Grizzlies men’s program for the fall of 2026.

I want to thank God for blessing with the chance to be a part of an amazing program as well as my family, friends, teammates that have helped me achieve where I am today. The Austin native recently competed at the Speedo Junior National Championships (LCM) for where he finaled in the 400 freestyle, finishing 30th in 4:01.94, just off of his best time that he set in the prelims of 4:01.08. He also swam a season-best time in the 200 free in 1:55.12.
Teeters, who swims for Lake Travis High School in Austin, finaled in the 500 free at the UIL 6A State Championships, where he finished 6th in the 500 free in 4:29.74, after setting a best time of 4:26.36 in the prelims.
One of his best meets came at the Speedo Winter Junior Championships – West, where he set numerous lifetime bests, including the 200 free (1:39.72), 1000 free (9:19.46), 1650 free (15:49.00), 200 butterfly (1:52.42) and 400 IM (3:57.76).

Oakland competes in the Horizon League, where they’ve won 11 straight conference titles for both men and women.
Based on Teeters’ best times, he would have finished 8th in the 1650, and 5th in the 500 free, and he would’ve made the ‘B’ final in the 200 free.
Teeters’ father, Randy, is the head coach of his home club of Austin Swim Club.
Teeters is already firmly in a Horizon League scoring position (as a high school senior) and will be a big piece to Oakland’s already well-established distance group that has seen plenty of success over the last decade plus.
Teeters is the only committed recruit for Oakland’s 2026 recruiting class at the time of publication.
