USA Swimming Drops Psych Sheets For 2025 Junior National Championships

USA Swimming has released the pre-scratch psych sheets for the 2025 U.S. Junior National Championships. The meet, which will be held at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, California, begins on Wednesday, July 30 and concludes on Sunday, August 3.

Highlighting the entries are a good number of swimmers who will be representing Team USA at the 2025 World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in Otopeni, Romania, from August 19-24.

In the girls’ meet, those include Mena Boardman, Liberty Clark, Chloe Kim, Kayla Han, Brinkleigh Hansen, Kayda Geyer, and Elle Scott. Hansen is just back from Singapore, where she competed in open water events for Team USA. Boardman is top seed in the 50 fly and 100 fly; she is also entered in the 50 free and 100 back. Clark is entered in 6 events (50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 50 back, 50 fly, and 200 IM) and is #1 seed in the 100 free. Kim has 8 entries (200 free, 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free, 200 back, 200 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM). Han is in 7 of Kim’s events (200 free, 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free, 200 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM); she is top seed in the 400/800 free and 400 IM. Hansen is entered in the 200 free, 200 fly, and 400 IM. Geyer appears in 5 events (50 breast, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, and 400 IM), as does Scott (50 breast, 100 breast, 200 breast, 100 fly, and 200 IM).

Boys entered at Summer Juniors who are headed to Otopeni include Ian Call, Rowan Cox, Shareef Elaydi, Aiden Hammer, Gavin Keogh, Thomas McMillan, Baylor Stanton, Luke Vatev, and Yi Zheng. Call is top seed in the 50/100 breast; he is also entered in the 100 free, 200 breast, and 200 IM. Cox appears in 7 events (50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 400 free, 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 IM) and is the #1 seed in the 100 fly. Elaydi tops the field in the 50 fly entries and is entered in 7 more (50 free, 50 breast, 100 breast, 200 breast, 100 fly, and 200 fly). Hammer is the #1 seed in the 400 free and 800 free; he also appears on the psych sheets in the 200 free and 200 fly. Keogh is ranked #1 in the 50 back, 100 back, and 200 back. McMillan has 6 entries (50 back, 100 back, 200 back, 50 fly, 100 fly, and 200 fly). Stanton is the top seed in the 200 IM and is entered in 6 other events (200 free, 50 back, 100 back, 200 back, 200 fly, and 400 IM). Vatev is in 5 events (50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 fly, and 200 fly). Zheng appears on the pysch sheet 6 times (200 back, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM).

Summer Juniors…the worst spectator experience in swimming. It’s an embarrassment that USA Swimming needs to address.
