LHSAA Division 1 Finalist Landon Crescioni Commits to In-state Loyola New Orleans

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Landon Crescioni from Metairie, Louisiana, has committed to swim and study at Loyola University New Orleans beginning in 2025-26.

“I chose Loyola University of New Orleans because it gives me the opportunity to continue my swimming career at the collegiate level while also pursuing my education. Being part of the swim team will allow me to compete at a high level, stay disciplined, and be part of a close-knit athletic community. I’m majoring in criminal justice with the hopes of pursuing a career in Federal Law Enforcement. Loyola’s program stood out to me for its real-world focus and strong academic reputation. The combination of athletics, academics, and a supportive community made Loyola the perfect place for me to grow as both a student and an athlete.”

Crescioni graduated from Brother Martin High School this spring with a 3.5 GPA. He was a member of the Alpha Honor roll and received a Brother Martin Leadership Award for his dedication and commitment to being a role model both in and out of the pool. He served as the team captain of the Brother Martin High School swim team, where he also received the Coaches Award and was named MVP. As a senior, he dropped 10.5 seconds in the 500 free to place 6th at the LHSAA Division 1 Championships with a PB of 4:47.49. He also finished 6th in the 200 IM, earning a lifetime-best 1:57.51 in prelims.

Crescioni trains and competes year-round with Nu Wave Swim Club. In February at the Louisiana Senior State Championships, he notched a slew of best times: 200 free, 1000 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and 400 IM. He finished 11th in the 200 free (1:45.03), 6th in the 1000 (9:43.73), 4th in the 200 breast (2:08.67), 11th in the 200 fly (1:54.45), 9th in the 200 IM (1:58.17), and 6th in the 400 IM (4:08.33).

At Justin Sectionals in March, he competed in the 200/500 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and 200/400 IM and took another 3 seconds off his 500 time to land at 4:44.52
