Aspen Shipp from Thomas University opened the circle-seeded heats with 2:03.68 to beat Olivet Nazarene’s Paige Howell (2:05.25) and SCAD Savannah’s Rachel Dawson (2:06.24).

Keiser’s Rachel Bradley took the next heat with 2:02.95 and a margin of two body lengths. Alessia Claassen of St Thomas led the next wave of finishers with 2:05.84. Abbie Christensen of Olivet Nazarene touched out SCAD’s Leah Givens, 2:07.55 to 2:07.70, for third.

Defending champion Maaike Broersma from Lindsey Wilson took the final heat in 2:04.07. Behind her were Keiser’s Marine Lecomte (2:05.04) and Samantha van Vuure of Milligan (2:05.45).

Adam Conrad of St Thomas, who tied with Keiser’s Alex Kuzik for fourth place last year, won the first heat in 1:47.36. Fynn Kunze of Keiser (1:47.53) and Dario Rukavina of SCAD Savannah (1:48.67) touched second and third behind him.

Heat 2 went to William Carey’s Mate Miszlai in 1:47.23. Ruthiik Satti from Cumberlands was about half a body length back with 1:48.07 Jayden Coetzer of St Ambrose came in third with 1:49.23.

Keiser’s Nicklas Pedersen went 1:47.33 to edge Kervens Warnon from St Thomas (1:47.36) in the last heat. Matt Mizell of St Thomas was just behind in 1:48.57.

Tie for first alternate between SOKA’s Nicole Skrzypek (-.3) and Natalia Gorska of Lindsey Wilson; both went 53.39.

Bryn Kiley of St Ambrose kicked off heats of the 100 free with a .23 improvement over her seed time to win heat 1 with 54.32. Heat 2 featured an exciting finish in the two outside lanes, as Milligan’s Madison Akbari (53.85, PB by .37) touched out Catherine Streeter of Loyola New Orleans (54.02, PB by .15) for the win.

Heat 3 was another thriller with Ugne Takuseviciute from Cumberlands edged Soka’s Nicole Skrzypek, 53.31 to 53.39. They improved their seed times by .4 and .3, respectively.

Keiser’s Ines Laurent won the first circle-seeded heat with 51.25 ahead of teammate Timea Aspegren ( 51.87) and Kylee Sears of The Master’s (52.02). Katherine Dyer from The Master’s followed with 50.83 to win heat 5. Bethel’s Jaylyn Harrison (52.13) and Martine Abrahamsen from St Thomas (52.70) were second and third. Kirsten de Goede from Lindsey Wilson was the sole sub-50 of the morning as she won the last heat in 49.36. Aubrey Bach of Keiser went 52.05 for second Katie Gorno of St Thomas was third (52.58).

Arizona Christian’s Isaiah Porritt dropped .77 to win heat 1 in 45.95. The next heat was a photo finish with Morningside’s John Spicer (46.09) touching out Nilton Dossantos Deoliveira from The Master’s (46.13), Josiah Blankenship from William Carey (46.14), and Mateus Cruz of Cumberlands (46.21).

Keiser’s Matheus Queiroz went 44.38 to win the first circle-seeded heat. Union’s Enzo Constable (44.59), Dylan Crane from The Master’s (44.69), and Milligan’s Michael Rinaldi (44.92) were just behind. Defending champion Alex Marrero of St Thomas won the penultimate heat with 43.98, dropping .8 from his entry time and landing the only sub-44 of the morning. His teammate William Birkett went 44.10 for second place in the heat, with Keiser’s Angel Margaritov (44.59) and Hanno Boeckmann (44.87) taking third and fourth.

The last heat had an empty lane 4, where Jet Fuhrmann of Keiser was meant to be, but he was a declared false start. It was SCAD Savannah’s Jan Gastal who got the win with 44.52, dropping .13 from his seed. Cory Werrett of St Ambrose (44.75) touched out SCAD’s Zoltan Tompos (44.80) for second.

Makalynn VanEerden from Bethel Indiana dropped 1.8 seconds to win the first heat with 2:25.88. Nikki Hahn of SCAD Savannah, who placed third a year ago, ran away with the first circle-seeded heat, winning with 2:18.77, 4 full seconds ahead of Milligan’s Teagan Jose (2:22.79). Jose swam for Point in 2024, in their final year as a program, and she went 2:27.07 in prelims. Bethel Indiana’s Teagan Risher (2:24.55) beat Dominique Cos of Midland (2:24.94) for third.

Keiser’s Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen, who destroyed the meet record in the 100 breast yesterday, won heat 3 with 2:17.67. Moa Nyblom from Cumberlands (2:23.43) touched out Keiser’s Lilly Windham (2:23.77) for second. Defending champion Stella Warborn from St Thomas took the final heat in 2:17.04. Warborn broke a meet record that had stood since 1993 last year when she won with 2:14.18. Brenau’s Tessa Ip Hen Cheung (2:21.92) got her hands to the wall just ahead of William Carey’s Eszter Kardos (2:21.98).

Marcos del Vado Sanz of Cumberlands edged Yurii Prokopchuk from Campbellsville, 2:08. 15 to 2:08.47, in an exciting heat 1. Milligan’s Caleb Fry, last year’s runner-up, went 2:00.29 to win heat 2, taking 4.6 seconds off his seed time. Zander Livingston from Midland was second with 2:02.39, just ahead of Lindsey Wilson’s Clinton Eales (2:02.72).

Fynn Kunze from Keiser won heat 3 with 2:02.22. Vincenzo Di Palo of Bethel Indiana dropped 2.9 seconds to touch second from way out in lane 8. He came to the wall .09 ahead of Xavier Trovesi of West Virginia Tech (2:03.89) and .13 ahead of Jeremiah Koenig from Cumberlands (2:03.93).

Defending champion and meet record-holder Noel de Geus of Keiser wrapped up heats of the 200 breast with the only sub-2:00, touching in 1:59.59. His teammate Alex Kusik dropped 1.1 seconds to come in second with 2:02.06. Emil Schildhauer of Thomas (2:03.33) beat Milligan’s Robert Adam (2:04.16) for third.

Women’s 200 Yard Butterfly – Prelims

Bethel Indiana’s Ella Sherwood dropped 2.4 seconds from her entry time to blast a 2:10.79 in heat 1. Taylor King from Olivet Nazarene improved her time by .6 and placed second with 2:13.30. Nathalie Medina from Lindsey Wilson got to the wall first in heat 2, touching out Keiser’s Greta Aldrovandi, 2:09.48 to 2:09.72. Chloe Hogue of Indiana Wesleyan improved her entry time by 1.2 seconds to get third with 2:10.02.

Defending champion Kayla Parry from Olivet Nazarene won heat 3 with 2:05.56. Milligan’s Mary Grace Bitting (2:07.74) was second, while Rylee Woelk of St Thomas (2:09.85) finished third. Top-seeded Luiza Bersi of Keiser wrapped things up with a 2:03.33 win in heat 4; she was 3 seconds faster than Sarah Zoellner of Cumberlands (2:06.33) and 5 faster than Bethel’s Avery Woods (2:08.33), who dropped 2.92 seconds and jumped into the “A” final for tonight.

Men’s 200 Yard Butterfly – Prelims

Milligan’s Sergio Tudor and Loyola New Orleans’s Charles Henderson both dropped 2.3 seconds and battled to an exciting finish in heat 1; Tudor got the touch, 1:54.06 to 1:54.31, and made the “B” final.

Bo Kasten of SCAD Savannah trailed Zsombor Bene of Cumberlands for much of heat 2, but came roaring back on the last 50 yards to win, 1:48.39 to 1:49.29. Union’s Malik Biad came in third with 1:51.71.

Keiser’s Jake Hutchinson broke the meet record in heat 3, winning with 1:45.26, an improvement of 1.5 seconds from his entry time. Marcelo Rojas Ariza of Cumberlands (1:50.14) was second, ahead of Elliot Best from St Thomas (1:51.54).

The ink wasn’t even dry in the record book when Isaiah Aleksenko from Keiser stepped up to the block. Having downed the 100 fly and 100 back records yesterday, he added the 200 fly mark to his portfolio in heat 4 with 1:44.03. Coming in second and third behind him were Juan Ramirez Zapata of Cumberlands (1:49.45) and Rueben Dobson from Ottawa Arizona (1:50.35).

Women’s 1-Meter Diving – Prelims

St Thomas’s Mireya Bonilla Flores is hoping for a sweep of the boards, having already won the 3-meter diving event on Thursday. But first she’ll have to get past Jada Shorter of Jamestown, who led the morning session with 211.95 points. Shorter was runner-up a year ago, while Illinois Wesleyan’s Macy Schmidtgall placed third. Everyone else is a newcomer.

Women’s 1650 Yard Freestyle – Slower Heats

Each of the eight fastest swimmers from the morning session will score in finals tonight, but the order has yet to be determined since there is one more heat to swim. The heat with the fastest swimmers coming into the meet will kick off tonight’s finals session. They will have to beat Manca Petric’s 17:42.31, the fastest time out of the earlier heats. Union’s Petric dropped 30.6 seconds off her entry time to lead the morning. Bethel’s Josefina Gonzalez improved by 6.5 seconds, while her teammate Lizzie Williams dropped 17.5. Peyton Brady from Milligan improved her entry time by 9 seconds.

Men’s 1650 Yard Freestyle – Slower Heats

There were some big drops this morning to make the top 8 from the slower heats of the mile. Milligan’s Morgan Roszel took 20.3 seconds off his seed time to establish the time to beat (16:00.46) in finals tonight; it’s conceivable he could win the event out of the morning heats. Will Gilbert from Cumberlands improved his entry time by 10.7 seconds and was 29.4 seconds faster than he’d been a year ago, with 16:03.14. Similarly, Zachary Anguish from Bethel dropped 4.3 seconds from his seed time but was a full 22.8 seconds ahead of his last year’s swim.
