Dalcamo, Huang Named Mountain West Swimmers of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State junior swimmer Maddy Dalcamo and Nevada senior diver Grace Huang have earned Mountain West Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors for competition from Oct. 30-Nov. 5, 2013. It is the first Mountain West weekly honor for Dalcamo and the fourth of Huang’s career.


WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
MADDY DALCAMO, SAN DIEGO STATE
Junior, Olathe, Kan. / Wisconsin

• Led San Diego State to a 156.5-138.5 win at TCU last week.

• Won two individual events, including the 50-yard freestyle (23.94) and the 100-yard freestyle (52.41).

• Swam on two winning relay teams with a time of 1:44.85 in the 200-yard medley relay and a 3:31.28 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

WOMEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK
GRACE HUANG, NEVADA
Senior, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan/ Jhong Jheng HS

• Scored points for Nevada in a 174-119 win over Fresno State on Nov. 2.

• Posted a score of 321.97 to win the 1-meter springboard, a mark that ranks first in the MW.

• Scored a 322.65 in the 3-meter springboard as an exhibition competitor, since the Wolf Pack had taken a significant team lead.

• Score in the 1-meter qualified for NCAA Zones in March.
