EVANSTON, Ill. – The Wisconsin women’s swimming and diving team continued the season with another conference win over Northwestern on Saturday. The Badgers picked up 12 event wins to finish the meet with a 193 to 106 win over the Wildcats.
Freshman Maddie Waggoner started the meet off strong with a first-place finish in the 1000 free with a 9:38.92. She led the Badger sweep in the event with Paige Mckenna finishing in second place with a 9:40.61 and Alivia Lindorfer right behind in third place with a 9:47.37.
Phoebe Bacon continues to dominate in the backstroke events, earning another win in the 100 back in 51.69 seconds. Kaylyn Schoof placed third in the event, swimming a time of 54.53 seconds. Bacon also led the Badger sweep in the 100 fly, hitting the wall first in 52.17 seconds, with Mackenzie McConagha right behind in second with a time of 52.79 seconds, and Haley Zelen earned the third fastest time, finishing in 54.85.
McConagha garnered two individual wins against the Wildcats. She won the 200 fly in 1:55.60, with Lily Gardner following right behind her in second place with a time of 1:59.52. McConagha also won the 200 back in 1:53.88.

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Wisconsin swimming and diving team continued the season with another conference win over Northwestern on Saturday. The Badgers picked up nine event wins to finish the meet off a 160 to 139 win over the Wildcats.
Freshman Luukas Vainio started the meet off strong, finishing first in the 200 free in 1:35.12. Chris Morris followed in fourth place with a 1:37.15 and Nico Butera finished in fifth in 1:37.26.
Dominik Mark Torok continued the momentum for the Badgers, earning two individual wins against the Wildcats. Torok hit the wall first in the 200 IM, posting a time of 1:45.86. He also picked up another individual win in the 200 fly, finishing with a time of 1:43.77.
The Badger men swept the sprint freestyle events with Taiko Torepe-Ormsby winning the 50 free in 19.67. Ben Weigand followed in second place with a 19.80. Nico Butera earned a first-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 44.24. He was closely followed by Andrew Benson who placed second with a 44.27.
Daniel Muller continued his success in the 1-meter dive, finishing first with 334.25 points. Jan Lanser finished fifth in the event with 288.95 points.
