The Mountain West Conference has announced Boise State’s Felicity Cann and Ciera Cortney as its first swimmer and diver of the week. This is both Cann and Cortney’s first weekly accolade.

Cann, a Tacoma, Wash., native made her collegiate debut for the orange and blue last week against Idaho. The freshman won two individual titles, including the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle, and was on two winning relays. Cann impressed further, by setting a pool record in the 200-yard free, a three year standing record.

Cortney, a senior from Las Vegas, began her final season with a bang. Winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter, she also set a season-opener record last weekend. Cortney finished the 3-meter with a mark of 308.93, which is the second-best score in school history.
