2013 Make a Splash Local Partner Grant Recipients

This is a USA Swimming Foundation Announcement

The USA Swimming Foundation is proud to announce the 2013 Make a Splash grant recipients.

The competition for this year’s grants was tremendous. We received more than 130 applications to help fund strong learn-to-swim programs across the country. After careful review, the grant committee agreed to award 41 grants, totaling $251,952, to Local Partners in 19 states across the country. We will award the remainder of the grant money during the 2013 Make a Splash Tour, presented by Phillips 66 which will occur this summer.

The USA Swimming Foundation would like to thank the many donors who have made this year’s grants possible. We would like to extend a very special thank-you to Phillips 66, who, in addition to presenting this year’s Make a Splash Tour, has made a significant financial contribution to provide grant funding to local partner programs in the Houston area. We would also like to thank the Benjamin FoundationBob and Judy Burlingham, who have generously donated funds to the Make a Splash initiative in honor of Ambrose “Rowdy” Gaines; and The Copses Family Foundation.

Thank you to all Local Partners that applied and for everything that all Local Partners do daily to promote water safety and the need to learn to swim to children, parents, and community leaders in your area.

Together we are helping save lives and build champions!
