UW-Milwaukee Gets Verbal Commitment from Sprinter Jasper Appleton

Jasper Appleton of North St. Paul, Minnesota, has verbally committed to University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the 2017-18 season.

“From the moment I stepped on campus it already felt like home. The team has such a great attitude and the coaches are all so dedicated to everyone’s success. I am excited to contribute and help my team dominate our conference and compete at the national level. I truly feel that this is the best place for me to learn and grow as an athlete and a student. Go Panthers!”

Appleton is a senior at Eagan High School. While he specializes in the 50/100 freestyles he swam the 200 free at the Minnesota State Meet last year and scored at sixth place. He was also fourth in the 100 free, and participated in both Eagan’s freestyle relays, including the 4×100 free which won the state title.

Appleton is All-American and All-State, and earned a Minnesota state crown in the 100 free while swimming for his club, St. Croix Swim Club.
