The 2016 British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) Long Course Swimming Championships went down a month ago in February, and the LSTV team got interviews with Ellie Simmonds and Ben Proud.
Simmonds, a 21-year-old Paralympian, has competed at the last two Paralympics. She won two golds in 2008 and two in 2012, and has set multiple World Records.
Proud, meanwhile, is the British record holder in the 50m LC freestyle and cleaned up the sprint events at these championships. He took the 50 free in 21.73, breaking his own national record in the event, and then won the 100 free (49.10),
