2016 Rio Organizing Committee Releases Competitive Schedule

As part of the “500 days until the Games” celebrations, the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee has released the daily schedule of competitive events for the upcoming Olympic Games. The Games officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on August 5th and close on August 21st, but not before 20 sporting disciplines take to the field, pool and court all throughout Rio.

Below are the swimming events with their respective dates:

Swimming – August 6-13th
Marathon Swimming (Open Water) – August 15-16th
Synchronized Swimming – August 14-19th
Water Polo – August 7-20th
Diving – August 7-20th
