Sara Maleski, from Waxhaw, North Carolina, has made a verbal commitment to the Tar Heels for the 2015-16 season. Maleski dives for Carolina Diving Academy and Marvin Ridge High School. She placed third at the 2014 North Carolina 3A State Championships.
“I picked UNC because it’s an amazing school academically. I really liked the way the swimmers and divers are a solid, united team. The whole feeling at UNC Swim and Dive is electric.”
Maleski is a 2014 USA Diving Junior National Diving Championship quarterfinalist. She joins a future University of North Carolina class that also includes commits Maria Lohman and Kali Becker.
