Foltyn came into the season at 22.26, which he set in the 50 free prelims at the 2025 World Junior Championships in Romania. He went on to finish 6th overall, stopping the clock in 22.38.
Foltyn has been having an exceptional meet so far, which started with him breaking the Championship Record and tying his own National Record in the boys’ 50 breaststroke prelims at 27.18. He grabbed the silver medal in the event yesterday, and will be hunting the gold in the 50 freestyle final tomorrow.
He is also entered in the 50 butterfly, which will race on Saturday. This is his final European Junior Championships, since he turned 18 on January 27th.
