3x Texas 5A State Champion Hudson Smith Commits to Texas A&M

Hudson Smith of Brenham, Texas has verbally committed to swim for Texas A&M University beginning next fall.

Texas A&M is the perfect school for me. Jay and Jason are great coaches, the facilities and academics are first class, and the team made me feel like family as soon as I stepped on campus. I’m excited about the future of Texas A&M Swimming and can’t wait to be a part of the Aggie family. Gig’Em!”

Smith is a senior at Brenham High School, and the current Texas 5A state champion in both the 100 breast (55.97 – 5A State Record) and 200 IM (1:49.40). He swims for the Brenham Swim Club and has proven to be a versatile swimmer, achieving two Summer Juniorscuts, seven Winter Juniors cuts, and four Winter Nationals cuts over nine events.
