Universal Sports Network will present 10 hours of exclusive coverage from the FINA Swimming World Championships (25m) in Doha, Qatar, starting this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. The two-hour daily highlight show will feature the best of that day’s international competition and runs Wednesday, December 3, through Sunday, December 7, at 8 p.m. ET.

The 12th FINA Swimming World Championships (25m) will be contested over five days at the Hamad Aquatic Center in Doha and features the world’s fastest swimmers competing in forty-six events (34 individual and 12 relays). More than 1,100 athletes from 171 countries are scheduled to compete for the 138 medals up for grabs at the biennial event.

Headlining the field for USA Swimming are Olympic gold medalists Tyler Clary (Riverside, Calif.), Natalie Coughlin (Vallejo, Calif.), Matt Grevers (Lake Forest, Ill.) and Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla.) who demonstrated his short course dominance with eight medals at the 2012 championships in Istanbul, Turkey, and seven medals at the 2011 edition in Dubai.

Also, in the pool for Team USA are Olympic gold medalists Claire Donahue (Lenoir City, Tenn.), Conor Dwyer (Winnetka, Ill.), Cullen Jones (Irvington, N.J.), Breeja Larson (Mesa, Ariz.), Matt McLean (Sterling, Va.) and Shannon Vreeland (Overland Park, Kan.).

In total, 36 Americans will be looking to top the medal standings for the fourth time at these championships and will face stiff competition from the likes of Katinka Hosszu (Hungary) and reigning short course World and Olympic 200m butterfly champion Chad Le Clos (South Africa).

Fans who do not normally receive Universal Sports Network as part of their television package will be able to watch the all of the FINA short course swimming action during free previews in the month of December from several providers including DIRECTV, DISH, Verizon FiOS, Cox Communications, CenturyLink Prism and others.
