Zoe Bartel Reflects on Meet in Mesa, End of Summer Goals (Video)

Zoe Bartel may have had a busier week in Mesa than some might have expected. She swam her bread and butter breaststroke events, placing 4th in the 200 (2:31.55) and 100 (1:09.44), and 3rd in the 50 (31.57). But she also swam the 200 free, 100 back, 200 IM, 50 free, and 200 Mystery IM, making it back for a second swim in every event besides the 50 free.

When we asked her about her analysis of the meet as a whole, she said it told her a lot, and gave her quite a bit to work with moving forward into the summer. Zoe told SwimSwam that she’s looking to make the national team this summer, and perhaps even make a senior national travel team. Regardless of her results this summer, Zoe should have her hands full in the fall, as she has committed to attend and compete for Stanford.
