Winter Juniors Champ Kaitlynn Sims Gives Verbal to Michigan for 2019-20

Kaitlynn Sims of Montgomery, Texas has given a verbal commitment to the University of Michigan for the 2019-20 school year. She swims for Montgomery High School and Magnolia Aquatic Club and is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and a NISCA All-American. Sims made her announcement via social media:

Sims is one of the top distance freestylers in the high school class of 2019. She won both the 500 free (4:42.38) and 1650 free (16:10.94) and was ninth in the 400 IM (4:16.40) at 2017 Winter Juniors West in December. She was also on the MAC 800 free relay that broke the meet record, and on the second-place 400 free relay.
