Wingate Bulldogs’ 2016 Training Trip in Altamonte Springs, FL (Video)

The Wingate University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams headed south for their 2016 training trip, trading the green hills of North Carolina for the sandy beaches of Altamonte Springs, Florida. In the above video, the Bulldogs give us a glimpse into their week, which looks like a heavy dose of hard work with some fun sprinkled in.

Wingate men’s and women’s teams both placed second behind Queens University of Charlotte at the 2015 Bluegrass Mountain Conference championships. The women went on to place third at NCAA Division II Championships, while the men were 12th. Before last season, the Bulldog men had won seven BMC titles in a row; and the women, two.

Both Bulldog squads were 5-1 over the first half of their 2015-16 season. Their first outing of 2016 will be a dual meet at home against Catawba on Friday, January 15th.
