WATCH: Rio 2016 Releases Hype Video with Less Than 50 Days Remaining

The 2016 Rio Olympic Games are less than fifty days away, and the world’s best athletes are putting in their final preparations for the upcoming competition.

Below, check out a hype video for the Rio Olympics, which features various athletes as well as magnificent shots of the Rio de Janeiro landscape. The video is available on the official Rio 2016 Facebook page.

Rio and Brazil have been criticized for several issues that could interfere with the Olympics, though despite concerns over water quality, Zika, and more, the Games are still on for August.

A few days ago, Rio organizers released photos of the medals that will be given out at the Olympics and Paralympics. Two days ago, on June 15th, the city government of Rio symbolically handed over the key to the Olympic village to the Rio 2016 administration. With that, the Olympic village has officially opened. Two members of the Team of Refugee Olympic Athletes (ROA) were among the first people to tour the village.

We recently shot past the fifty day countdown until the beginning of the 2016 Games– from a swimming fan’s perspective, once the U.S. Olympic Trials has concluded, there will be just one month until the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
