Wabash College junior Wesley Slaughter has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for his performance at Saturday’s Indiana DIII Invitational.

His winning time of 21.35 in the 50-yard freestyle is currently third-fastest among Division III competitors after the opening weekend. He swam an opening leg of 46.76 in the 400-yard freestyle relay for the third-fastest time for 100 yards in DIII. Slaughter also won the 100-yard freestyle race in 47.23 to finish over two seconds ahead of the remainder of the field. His efforts helped Wabash finish second out of five teams at the invitational.
