Vermont Catamounts Head To Navy For 2022 ECAC Swimming & Diving Championships

SWIMMING AND DIVING NOTEBOOK
This weekend 14 members of the Vermont women’s swimming and diving team are headed to the 2022 ECAC Swimming and Diving Championship hosted by the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The three-day competition begins Friday (Feb. 25) at 10 a.m. Live results can be accessed through the MeetMobile app.

FRIDAY’S ACTION
The Catamounts will compete in five events on Friday. UVM will compete in the 400 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay. In the 500 Free Emily RoccoJackie House and Molly Williams will swim for Vermont. UVM’s swimmers in the 50 Free will be Charlie RameyKira Parker and Cassie Woodson. Vermont’s largest contingent of swimmers will compete in the 200 IM with Ella ChurchMina PoppasMadison SuppleKara Campbell and Cailin Campbell.

MEET OUTLOOK
Swimming and diving teams from 26 ECAC member colleges and universities converge on Annapolis, Maryland this weekend to compete at Navy’s LeJeune Hall. Vermont will compete against the women’s teams from Rider, James Madison, Yale, Baruch College, Bucknell, Navy, Columbia, American, Richmond, Army, Penn, Catawba College, Stony Brook, FDU, Loyola (Md.), UIC, Frostburg State, Princeton, Goucher College, VMI, LeMoyne, Marist and George Mason.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Fans without a Department of Defense-approved ID card must either park outside of the gates and walk through the gate one security center or park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the meet. The shuttle bus will run from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday. Anyone ages 18 and older must present a photo ID card to gain entry and those ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
A mask must be worn at all times by everyone, no matter their vaccination status, while riding the shuttle bus and when inside Lejuene Hall.
