Verbal to Alabama is Like “Going Home” for Backstroker Alex Robinson

alabama_m_robinson“University of Alabama has always been about family for me. I will always remember going to my granddad’s house with the Bear Bryant room and cheering for the Tide.

“Then, when I visited on my recruit trip….It felt like family…it felt like home.

“Bama is in my blood…..RTR”

The Crimson Tide have secured yet another verbal to add to those of Andrey Tretyakov, Christian Strycker, and Michael Burris; Alabama’s newest commit is Alex Robinson of Memphis, Tennessee.

Robinson (known as “Christopher” in the USA Swimming database) is a senior at Memphis University School and swims for Memphis Tiger Swim Club. At the 2016 TISCA Tennessee High School Swimming and Diving Championships, Robinson was runner-up in the 100 back (48.75) and finished third in the 200 free (1:40.13). Robinson competed in the 100m back at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, but he is also an accomplished distance freestyler. He finished 17th in the 1500m free and 20th in the 100m back at U.S. Open in August.
