Linnea Mack put in one more session of strong swimming to close out the A3 Invitational. She swam the 100 free with a quick time of 48.42, earning the win there by a touch over Hawai’i’s Franziska Weidner (48.66). Mack also split a 48.07 on UCLA’s winning 400 free relay to finish the meet.

The Bruins were dominant on day three, winning all but one event. Sandra Soe topped the field in the mile, her 16:21.61 leading a UCLA 1-2-3 finish with Katy Campbell and Pacific transfer Margaux Verger Gourson. In the 200 back, Madison White took first with a 1:56.12, while freshman Amy Okada earned a win in the 200 fly. Okada’s 1:59.26 was just enough to hold off teammate Katie Grover— a total of four women posted 1:59’s in that race.

UCSB’s Mason Tittle posted another win, taking the 100 free in a tight battle with Hawai’i’s Reed Wynn. Tittle was 44.51, touching just ahead of Wynn’s 44.54. He also anchored UCSB’s winning 400 free relay with a 43.93 split. Wynn’s teammate Metin Aydin blasted a 1:43.05 in the 200 back, finishing well under the ‘B’ cut as well as the next-best finisher.
