Texas Sprinter Emma Ream Makes Verbal Pledge to North Texas

Emma Ream, a senior at Lovejoy High School and a member of Texas Ford Aquatics, has verbally committed to swim at the University of North Texas beginning in 2017-18. Ream, a free and fly sprinter looks to contribute to UNT’s women’s team, which is coming off a fourth-place finish at Conference-USA Championships.

“I am really excited to become Eagle and swim for Coach Roth. After seeing the campus and meeting the team, I knew UNT would be where I continue my swimming career as a college athlete. I look forward to proudly being a part of UNT’s swim program.”

At the North Texas 5A TISCA Invitational in December of 2015, Ream won the consolation finals of both the 50 free () and 100 free (à=).  She also anchored Lovejoy’s ninth-place 200 free and fourth-place 400 free relays in 25.87 and 54.80, respectively.

Her best SCY times are:

  • 50 free – 24.84
  • 100 free – 54.15
  • 200 free – 1:59.74
  • 100 fly – 1:00.71
  • 100 back – 1:02.26
