Texas Back/Fly Specialist Lanie McAlpin Commits to New Mexico State

Lanie McAlpin of Alamo Area Aquatic Association has committed to New Mexico State University for 2015-16. A senior at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Helotes, Texas, McAlpin placed 14th in the 100 back at the 2014 Texas 5A State Meet. Her top times are:

50y back: 27.37
100y back: 57.76
200y back: 2:07.80
100y fly: 59.57
200y fly: 2:12.27
400y IM: 4:40.59

McAlpin is the reigning Miss San Antonio Texas Teen. In addition to swimming at Sandra Day O’Connor High, she has been a member of the water polo team, varsity orchestra, and National Honor Society.

McAlpin joins fellow commit Aimee Hatfield in the Aggie class of 2019.
