District meets in Class 2A swimming were held throughout Florida last week. Here’s a breakdown of how each district went. Winning teams advanced to regional meets this week.
District 1
Team winners: Girls — West Florida School of Tech, 490; Boys — Fort Walton Beach, 482, West Florida School of Tech girls 490
Individual standouts: Sawyer Downs (Fort Walton Beach) Won 200 free (1:48.91) and 100 fly (53.61); Taylor Clements (West Florida School of Tech, West Virginia commit) 100 breast (1:05.85), 50 free (24.47).
District 2
Team winners: Girls — Stanton College Prep, 511; Boys — Stanton College Prep, 519.
Individual standouts: Girls — Gabriella Marim (Stanton College Prep, West Virginia commit), won 100 breast (1:06.36) and 200 IM (2:09.62).
