The Chinese divers excelled in the women’s events at the FINA Diving Grand Prix this weekend in Madrid, Spain, winning three of the four gold medals.
Led by a gold from Murphy Bromberg, Team USA won five medals on the final day of competition at the FINA Grand Prix in Madrid. Bromberg finished first in the women’s 10-meter contest, with Amy Cozad Magana clinching bronze in the same event.
Brooke Schultz (Fayetteville, Arkansas) clinched the bronze medal for Team USA in Friday’s women’s 3-meter finals on day one of the Madrid FINA Grand Prix.
Team China was in dominant form once more this weekend at the third leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2018 in Bolzano, Italy (from July 6-8).
Team USA completed competition at the Bolzano FINA Grand Prix Sunday with one gold medal, one silver medal and four bronze medals, to end the weekend with eight total medals.
The penultimate leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2017 drew to a close on Sunday November 5, as local heroes , Mark and Timothy Lee scored exactly 366 points to finish in third place in the men’s 3m synchro behind the Republic of Korea’s Kim Yeongnam and Woo Haram (438.18), and Russia’s Vlacheslav Novoselov and Evgenii Novoselov (396.90).
China, Japan, Korea and Malaysia were the four nations climbing on the first step of the podium this weekend in Kuala Lumpur (MAS), where the sixth leg of the annual FINA Diving Grand Prix was taking place from October 27-29.
China’s team of Si Yajie and Tai Xiaohu combined to win the Mixed Synchro 10-meter Platform Diving event on the second day of the 2015 FINA World Aquatics Championships.
