Akron won its sixth straight MAC title, and the almost-300-point margin was due to their depth. Eastern Michigan had two wins on the final day, and pulled away from Buffalo to hold onto second.
Akron won three events on Day 3 on the MAC championships to all but clinch the title, but on a day where 4 MAC records fell, Delaney Duncan stole the show for Eastern Michigan swimming 58.25 in the 100 breaststroke to get well under the NCAA A cut.
Ohio swimming and diving celebrated its seniors with a State 208-84 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday at the Ohio University Aquatic Center.
The Ohio swimming and diving team (4-2, 1-2 MAC) secured another two wins for the season, defeating Duquesne 137-124 and Xavier 169-90 Saturday afternoon (Jan. 19) at Towers Pool.
With her bests, Morgan would have scored in the 100 breast B final and the 200 breast A final at the 2017 MAC Championships.
