The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced the addition of Indiana University as its seventh water polo affiliate, placing the Hoosiers against the best NCAA teams in the country and the world’s top young players.
Indiana faced a pair of ranked opponents on the second day of the Triton Invitational and came away with split results, completing a 2-2 weekend and an 11th-place finish for the tournament.
The Hoosiers ended their first day of home competition with the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center’s wildest game in years.
Indiana put the finishing touches on their first weekend in the pool of the 2018 season with their biggest competition yet, facing No. 5 Arizona State. The 13th-ranked Hoosiers (2-1) couldn’t contain a formidable attack by the Sun Devils (2-0), resulting in a 10-3 defeat for their first loss of the year.
