Two Blue Devil freshmen garnered 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials cuts to highlight Duke’s weekend at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Richmond.
Catherine Belyakov of Rockville Montgomery Swim Club has verbally committed to the Duke Blue Devils for 2020-21.
Duke earned a 1-2 punch in the women’s 200 free, where Melissa Pish, a freshman and the school record-holder, took the race in 1:46.89. Fellow freshman Easop Lee came in 2nd, posting a 1:48.21.
Halle Morris of San Rafael, California (pictured above) and Connie Dean of Taplow, England (pictured below) recently announced their verbal commitments to Duke University for 2017-18.
Zoe Bartel of Fort Collins Area Swim Team broke the Speedo Junior Nationals meet record in the 100 breast on Monday night, winning the event with 1:08.11.
Madelyn Murphy’s wins came back to back, first in the 50 free where she swam a 22.49. She followed that up with a blazing 52.15 in the 100 fly to set a new NCS meet record.
