George Washington men’s swimming and diving finished out a season sweep of District foes Saturday by claiming a pair of wins Saturday at McCarthy Pool.
GW women’s swimming and diving closed its fall slate on Friday with a 91-59 win over Richmond in the first collegiate swim meet held at the newly opened pool at The St. James sports complex. Richmond divers Maddy Chao and Sydney Weiskopf qualified for the NCAA Zones at the meet.
Seven different Colonial women earned individual victories, paced by double-winner Gemma Atherley, while Peter Nachtwey broke his own program record for 3-meter diving on the way to a sweep of the diving events in a dual win over Howard.
George Washington University will be welcoming five divers into the class of 2021 this fall.
