UMBC Sweeps Swimming Events on Day 1 of America East Championships
UMBC won all 3 men’s events on day 1, including a new conference record in the 200 medley relay.
East Carolina Wraps Dual Meet Slate with Sweep of UMBC
The ECU swimming and diving teams wrapped up their dual meet schedule Saturday afternoon with a sweep of the UMBC Retrievers at Minges Natatorium. The Pirate men posted a 194-106 win, while the women earned a 157-143 victory.
Smolar, Gliese, Biddulph, Wright Garner America East Weekly Accolades
UMBC diver Elijah Wright earned his fourth weekly America East honor, while the Retrievers’ Alexander Gliese and Binghamton’s Kaitlyn Smolar each garnered a second weekly accolade.

The UMBC swimming and diving teams closed out the 2018 portion of its schedule with a Saturday sweep over America East foe VMI on December 1. The women won by a score of 118-81, while the men finished with a score of 157-121.
