After winning their 11th and ninth straight New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships, respectively, last weekend, the MIT men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will have eight student-athletes competing in this weekend’s NCAA Division III Northeast-North Diving Regionals.
The MIT women’s swimming and diving team rewrote its own record from a season ago with 19 student-athletes listed on the 2019 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference team.
MIT sophomore diver Deborah Wen (Honolulu, Hawaii) broke the six-dive pool record on the 1-meter board and the Engineers won 13 of 16 events en route to a dominant 201-99 win over Tufts.
The MIT men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have released their schedules for the 2018-19 season which will feature five home dual meets, the annual three-day Winter Invitational and the 2019 NCAA Division III Northeast-North Diving Regional.
