With the final round of relay qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympics closing on May 31, Brazil has officially qualified two more relay teams, adding 3 relay-only swimmers to its Olympic roster.
There were only three events on Day 3 of the Maria Lenky Trophy, but the action was just as intense. In the end, two newly minted FINA ‘A’ Olympic qualification standards and a fresh set of records were achieved.
Etiene Medeiros, Nicolas Oliveira, Joao De Lucca, and Guilherme Guido were the only Brazilians to achieve FINA ‘A’ standards and an Olympic ticket on Day 2 Finals at Maria Lenk.
Guilherme Guido (above) approached his 100m back South American Record by one one-hundredth of a second in Day 2 prelims of the Maria Lenk Trophy.
