Swimming From Home Talk Show: Katie Drabot on Team Support, Top Movies

We are all trying to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic as best we can. Staying at home and not socializing is not an easy task for anyone, and keeping a swimmer out of the pool is equally antagonizing. Therefore, SwimSwam is starting the Swimming From Home Talk Show, where host Coleman Hodges speaks with the swimming community about how they’re coping with our current goggle-less reality.

Stanford senior Katie Drabot was one of many affected NCAA athletes who missed out on her final NCAA Championships. Drabot walks us through the last few weeks, and how processing that kind of loss has been for her. She has been able to gain perspective and has found solace in spending time with family and teammates and trying to stay active and fit in different ways besides swimming.

At the end of our conversation, Drabot also dives into her favorite movies she’s seen while quarantined.
