Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Olivia Colombo from Southlake, Texas has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Arizona State beginning in fall 2026.
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Arizona State University. I would love to thank my family, friends, teammates, and awesome coaches who have supported me along the way! A huge thank you to @sundevilswimdive and @sirherb_the3rd for such an amazing opportunity. I’m extremely blessed and beyond thankful! SO ready to be a Sun Devil. Forks Up!!!”
Colombo swims for Lakeside Aquatic Club and most recently competed at Summer Juniors. She was highlighted by best times in the 50 back as she posted a 29.97 for 34th as well as a 28.81 in the 50 fly for 84th. She also swam on four of the team’s relays and their 200 medley relay finished 8th overall.
Colombo is a National Age Group (NAG) record holder to this day in the girls 13-14 LCM 200 free relay as she posted a 1:47.05 alongside Marin Clem, Viv Anderson, and Emma Bibza back in 2021.
She began her senior year at Carroll Senior High School this fall and is a two-time varsity swimming captain. Back in February, she swam to a 3rd place finish in the 100 back with a 55.36 and an 8th place finish in the 100 free with a 51.23 at the UIL 6A State Championships. She also led off the team’s 400 free relay that went on to win a state title, one of three state titles she has won so far in her high school career. Colombo is also accomplished academically and is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Colombo’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 100 back: 54.63
- 200 back: 1:59.98
- 100 free: 50.88
- 200 free: 1:51.21
The Arizona State women captured the 2025 Big 12 Conference Title with 1695 points, finishing over 400 points ahead of Arizona (1240 points). Arizona State went on to finish 19th at the 2025 NCAA Championships with 41.5 points.
Based on her best times, Colombo has the potential to make an immediate impact at the conference level. Her best time in the 100 back would already make the conference ‘C’ final. She is only a tenth off of what it took to make it back in the 200 back and less than half a second off making it back in the 100 free.
Colombo will arrive in fall 2026 as a member of the class of 2030 along with Belis Sakar, Rowynn Biffart, Lilly Jayne Allison, Ellie Chalupsky, Riley Christensen, Haddie Wohs, Maya Hetland, Wren Smith, and Alyssa Albertyn.
