Sprinter Morgen Hall to Join Brother Colton at Colgate in 2018-19

Medfield, Massachusetts’ Morgen Hall has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Colgate University in the class of 2022.

“I chose Colgate University because of the school’s long tradition in providing a healthy balance between a rigorous academic curriculum and an exceptional Division I athletics program. Colgate’s academic excellence along with their competitive swimming and diving team will challenge me to excel and achieve my goals both in and out of the pool. I can’t wait to become a Raider! Go ‘gate!”

Hall is a rising senior at Medfield High School who swims year-round with the club team Kingfish Swimming. Specializing primarily in the shorter end of the freestyle range, Hall earned all best times in her main SCY events at the 2017 Ithaca Sectionals in March.

She will overlap for two years at Colgate with her brother Colton Hall, who as a freshman earned MVP honors in the Raiders’ 2016-17 season. Colton had five top-10 finishes at 2017 Patriot League Championships, where he broke the school’s record in the 100 fly with 49.35. It had been Colgate’s oldest record on the books, set in 1985. The Hall siblings are double legacies; both parents went to Colgate. Their aunt, Janel Jorgensen McArdle, is an Olympic silver medalist, a Stanford Hall of Famer, and the former CEO, and current board member, of Swim Across America.
